Raghuraj Pratap Singh (Raja Bhaiya)

One of the most notorious Bahubalis of Uttar Pradesh includes an independent M.L.A. who hails from the royal Bhadri (estate) of Oudh and is the Member of Legislative Assembly from his native local assembly constituency Kunda, Uttar Pradesh. He was Uttar Pradesh’s cabinet minister in Minister of Food and Civil Supplies during Samajwadi Party’s regime. He is allegedly accused of 8 murders and 24 kidnappings along with several loot cases.

Atique Ahmed

Atique Ahmed from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh was one of the biggest mafia dons who turned into a politician. , According to his affidavit in the 2014 elections, he had allegedly declared that there were 42 cases pending against him, including 6 charges of murder, 6 for attempted murder, and 4 of kidnapping and abduction. He was gunned down while being in police custody on 15th April 2023.

Anant Sarkar (Chote Sarkar)

Anant Singh, popularly known as ‘Chhote Sarkar’, the don of Mokama Bihar was once a very close aide of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He allegedly has 32 complaints lodged against him including murders and kidnapping. It is said that from 2005 to 2013 Anant Singh played an important role in making major decisions for the Bihar government.

Mohammad Shahabuddin

One of the most dreaded gangsters of Bihar, Siwan is Mohammad Shahabuddin. He is a very close aide of Lalu Prasad Yadav. He was a criminal who eventually turned into a politician. He wasn’t permitted to contest the 2009 general elections because of the criminal allegations against him. He is currently operating from inside of Tihar jail and has allegedly over 75 criminal cases recorded against him.

Mukhtar Ansari

Mukhtar Ansari is a criminal turned politician who fought his first Assembly election as a candidate of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), and the next two as an independent candidate. In 2007, he joined BSP and unsuccessfully contested the 2009 Lok Sabha election. After BSP expelled him in 2010 for criminal activities, he formed his own party Quami Ekta Dal with his brothers. Allegedly, he has 4 murder cases pending against him along with various cheating and forgery cases.
