the importance ofthe information and communication technologies in a rural development, information and communications technology. I City refers to all the technology used to handle telecommunications, broadcast media, intelligent building management systems, audio visual processing on transmission systems on network based control and monitoring functions. Although Isis is often considered an extended synonymous for information technology, its scope is more broad. I City has more recently being used to describe the convergence off several technologies on the Hughes ofthe common transmission lines, carrying very devastating and communication types and vomits. It deals with the hues off electronic computers and computer software to convert, store, protect, process, transmit and securely retrieve information. Recently, it has become popular to broaden the term toe explicitly include the feed off electronic communication so that people tend to use the deprivation, ICICI information and communications technology. Basically, it is a valuable set off tools because it benefits you immediately and directly roll off. I'd be in a rural development information technology, or it has become the buzzword in India these days. One hears about it everywhere from stock markets to government. Carlitos across the country, everybody wants to do something connected with it, beat a school student or a politician they're looking at I d. As the ultimate panacea. The ever growing media attention on successes. Toadies are fuelling this appetite for it, and within this craze, for I t. The focus is on the Internet or the bald white. Generally, there is an I. D friendly atmosphere in the country. But does this craze for I t have any meaning for the silent majority off the country for those living in rural areas? How can computers be off any use for the people who do not know how to read and write? And even if they can read and write, they can't read and write English, which is the predominant language in the arena today. Moreover, how many people in this country can afford to have a personal computer or PC in such a scenario? It may be rather difficult Task toe answer a question like what can be the role ofthe ity in villages or in rural development? The critics off, I'd have often said the computers can only provide information transmitted from one place to another and, with the advent of the Internet, make communication instant, but it can not provide people drinking water. It can cure their disease and it can not give them employment. True, a computer is not a magic one that can solve all problems in rural areas, even if we take computer merely as an information to it is a great facilitator. The critics pocket that villages also have their own information needs. They need to know about their village. They're district's natural resources around them, about seasons and monsoons, about market rates, off different communities and about government schemes. They also need to know how much money is being allocated for rural development in their area and how much is being spent. And all these so called pets off information are related intensely to their lives and livelihood are connected pieces and effective to to do all this and much more. It is also a Met that people in rural areas like toe have three delivery off information. Experience has shown that if the information has direct relevance toe people and has a potential to result in commercial, Kane's people are willing to pay for such services. In light ofthe this, the Eye T task force has recommended a scheme which would enable the process off large skill, self employed youngsters across the country to set up and tablet contents for information kiosk, particularly for rural areas. It has to be in charge that such schemes have large scale private participation and are not dependent on government finding alone. However, the government can and show that anyone who wants to set up information kiosk at any place in the country is not only freed from all regulations and licences, but also is encouraged true, simple and attractive. Financing. Skins Health Care is yet another area where I can play a major role in rural areas, doctor order, paramedic stuff at a local P etc. Are. Some Ph see can access latest information about healthy schemes and seek advice from specialists about disease or ailments they cannot diagnose. Treat. The village PC can be used as a civilian system for disease on ultimately as note for telemedicine. Currently, a number of experiments are being attempted to take the PC and the Internet to Fletcher's. There has been a great amount of enthusiasm among people development, offer 11 content in local languages, availability off computers that can't run on low power and sensitisation off local government officials towards it can go a long way in using ICTY for rural development in near future impact off fighting in the rural people life. The present study is an attempt to know how information technology is playing a significant role in the development of the rural society. We are living in it. Even if we see have lab donations, then we come to know that we are lagging so behind. Making all the government departments it enabled is a demand off. Today, every citizen wants transparency and fast and timely services from government departments. This can be achieved only by using Internet and other items as vino. Development is a process which takes a couple of years to change the rural life because information technology will definitely be in a position to change the scenario ofthe rural life and create a better part poor rural development conclusion and teed off improvement. That's technological advancement as necessary for every nook and corner of India. Communications through emails should be entertained in every office as this is the only transparent and efficient mode of communication all over the world. The government departments should address public queries about problems in implementing different government policies through websites etcetera in rural school, there should be provisioned off digital teaching systems or digital classroom. All departments should be connected with the website right from that state headquarters to punch at level and trained computer operators should be put on services with good pay scales on a regular basis. All offices off public dealing should be connected with computer and Internet facilities, therefore public and receive all information regarding their works or grievances without filling application. In Artie, I sell if the rural areas are to take full advantage off these technologies to enhance their social economic development.
