How to make chicken korma at home

Ingredients Required To Make Chicken Korma

  • 500gm chicken
  • 50gm tomato
  • 100 ginger garlic paste
  • 100gm curd
  • 100gm onions
  • 1tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin and black pepper powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 2 pcs dry chili
  • 2 pcs bay leaves
  • 2 pcs green chili
  • 4pcs cardamom
  • 2pcs larger cardamom
  • 6 pcs cloves
  • 2 pcs cinnamon
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • Coriander leaves
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Kewra water

Method

  • To make chicken korma, we will first marinate the chicken.
  • To marinate, we’ll add curd and a little salt and then mix it well. After mixing, we’ll keep it covered for an hour.
  • Now we will take a plate and put in it pieces of bay leaf, dry chili, cumin, big cardamom, green cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon and keep it aside.
  • After this, we will heat the oil in a pan and after the oil is heated, add all the dry spices and fry it well. Now we’ll put chopped onion in it and after adding one spoon of Kewra water, fry it till the onion turns brown.
  • After a while we see that the onion has turned brown, now we will add ginger and garlic paste and fry it for a while.
  • Now we will add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin, and black pepper powder, salt, and chopped chili in it and fry it by adding some water.
  • Now that our spices are roasted, we will add marinated chicken to it and fry it for a while. Now add chopped tomatoes on it and mix it well.
  • Now we’ll cook it in slow heat till the chicken melts.
  • After a while we see that our chicken has melted, now we will add chopped coriander, kewra water, and garam masala powder.
  • Now we’ll stir it well and roast the chicken for a while. Now we’ll add half a glass of water to it and mix it well and cover it. Let it cook for a while.
  • Our chicken korma is ready.
