Running out of time in the mornings? Or just want to indulge in some South Indian dish? Whatever might be the reason, you will be going to love the low-fat recipe of Oats Uttapam. It’s a quick-dish with an abundance of flavors.
What do you require to prepare?
- Salt (As per taste)
- Onion, finely chopped
- 1 Tomato (deseeded), chopped
- 1 Medium Red/Yellow/Green Capsicum, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp Green Chilies, chopped
- Finely chopped Ginger and Garlic
- Coriander leaves (optional)
Method to cook
Take a big bowl and pour the buttermilk in it. Add Oats in it and leave them as it is for 30 minutes. After that, add all the other ingredients like onions, tomatoes, ginger-garlic, green chilies, and salt in it. If you want to add more flavors then you may try adding a pinch of asafetida and some cumin seeds. Now whisk and mix well.
You are almost done! Take a non-stick pan and apply a little oil on it. Now, spread a ladleful of batter. When it turns golden brown, flip it to the other side to cook. Serve hot. You may garnish it with some finely chopped coriander leaves and accompany it with coconut chutney.
